Lucy Adams is a New York based filmmaker.
In June 2016 she was awarded the Valentine and Clark Emerging Artist Fellowship at the Jacob Burns Film Center, and then became a member of Creative Culture. Her work spans both narrative and documentary filmmaking with an emphasis on character-driven storytelling, exploring the relationship between technology, aging, and human connections.
Her latest short documentary, Lorrie Goulet: Spirit into Stone (DOC NYC) received support from the Made in NY Women's Film, TV & Theater Fund by the City of New York Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in Association with the New York Foundation for the Arts, and premiered at the New York Museum of Modern Art in October 2019.
She works as a freelance editor and cinematographer, and has taught afterschool courses to high school students at the Jacob Burns Film Center.
